I was born and raised in Burlington with my two older sisters, Cindy and Lori. My parents lived in town in my childhood home up until 2017. I graduated from Lewis Mills in 1997, where one of my best friends was Jeremy, Bruce’s oldest son (Jeremy is still one of my closest friends). I still have many fond memories from growing up in Burlington that involve not just Jeremy, but Bruce and the entire Flax family, as well.

After Lewis Mills, I continued my education at the University of Vermont, in Burlington, Vermont, and graduated in 2001. After college I went to work at the Hartford and held many positions over the years. In 2013, my division was purchased by MassMutual and my commute became nearly 100 miles round trip each day. It was the figurative “straw that broke the camel’s back”. After years of trying to convince Bruce to sell me the agency, the time was finally right for both of us. I will continue to run the agency the same way that Bruce has always done. I, like Bruce, believe that Customer Service is paramount to the insurance business, especially as an independent agency. I believe that people want to be able to talk to the same person every time about their policy(s), and they would especially like it if that person was; a friend, a neighbor, someone that if they want to meet face-to-face, they only have to go down the road.

After 8+ years living in Harwinton, my family and I moved to Burlington during 2020.  When I’m not working you will usually find me mountain biking with my incredible wife Sarah, and our 3 beautiful children.  We spend a lot of time riding the trails in and around Burlington.  We even have fat tire bikes that allow us to ride the trails during the winter when there’s snow on the ground.  We also enjoy playing tennis and golf as a family during the warmer months, and all 3 of my kids are avid soccer players.   When I’m not running around for one of my kid’s activities or mountain biking you’ll usually find me working in my yard.
